Art Colony Association, Inc. has a proven history of supporting and promoting the advancement of Art Education for young students in the Houston Metro area.
The BCAF Middle School Art Contest offers students 5th-8th grade the opportunity to participate in a 2-D juried art competition. Submissions will be displayed at Spring Street Studios as part of the "Art in the Middle Exhibition", a special exhibition for the students, teachers, and families to view the student artwork.
The top 30 finalists will receive recognition ribbons, and their artwork will be put on display at the 2022 Bayou City Art Festival - Memorial Park. Art Colony Association, Inc. hosts an award ceremony for the students and presents awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, as well as recognizing the winner of the online People’s Choice Award during the festival. In addition to receiving prizes both for themselves and their school art program, students are awarded with an art class at Glassell School of Art.
