How Do I Apply to Participate as an Artist?
The Bayou City Art Festival is produced bi-annually by The Art Colony Association, Inc.
The Bayou City Art Festival - Memorial Park, currently ranked nationally as a top 10 fine arts festival, takes place every March inside beautiful Memorial Park, in the heart of Houston, Texas.
The Bayou City Art Festival - Downtown, recognized as a signature art event for the City of Houston, takes place each October inside Sam Houston Park, and along Allen Parkway, in downtown Houston, Texas.
The Bayou City Art Festival is an outdoor, juried fine arts festival with a proven history of record sales for artists, representing 19 different disciplines of art. In order to participate, artists must first submit an application for each festival. (Application dates and deadlines will be listed on our website throughout the year). Once the deadline for artist applications has passed for either event, all submissions for that particular event are reviewed and scored by an independent panel of jurors. Once the jury has tabulated their scores, the 250 artists with the highest jury scores are then invited to participate in the upcoming festival.
Currently, we are accepting artist applications for the 2022 Bayou City Art Festival - Downtown, which will be held on October 8-9, 2022. The application deadline is June 15th, 2022.
